摘　　要：汉学家马瑞志的《世说新语》译本对魏晋时代清谈术语、重要学术命题以及审美话语的翻译存在诸多误译。拘泥于词语字面含义,忽视学术话语的历史嬗变与脱离清谈的历史语境,对儒、道、释三教的某些概念未细加区分,将学术话语与日常用语混为一谈,是马译本中清谈话语误译的主因。There are quite a few cases of mistranslation concerning the academic terms,philosophical propositions,and aesthetics for the discourse of ching-tan in Richard B.Mather’s A New Account of Tales of the World.The mistranslation should be primarily ascribed to Mather’s tendency to overlook the evolution of the academic discourses and to decontextualize those conversations of the elites by making no distinction between some doctrines of Confucianism,Taoism and Buddhism and confusing academic discourse and the language of daily life.
