Objective:To compare the effect of the presence or absence of genetics on the condition of tic disorders and to explore the characteristics of tic disorders pathogenesis under different genetic imprints and different genetic generations.Method:A case-control study was conducted on 200 children with non-genetic tic disorders and 100 children with tic disorders associated with genetic imprinting, and then a family study was conducted on 100 children with tic disorders associated with genetic imprinting as the pre-documented patients. Results:The severity of tic disorders in the genetic group was significantly higher than that in the non-genetic group(P=0.042);children in the genetic group were more likely to be co-morbid with other psychosomatic disorders(P=0.012),especially in the maternal lineage(P=0.017);and the course of the disease was different for tic disorders in children under different genetic generations. Conclusion:Genetic factor is one of the risk factors for tic disorders, and children with genetically related tic disorders have more severe conditions;paternal inheritance is more common than maternal inheritance, but children with tic disorders inherited from the maternal line are more likely to be co-morbid with other psychiatric and psychological disorders.
