摘　　要：本文结合对诠释学的哲学思考,通过回顾在海外传播最广、最受西方推崇的中国典籍之一《道德经》的3次英译高潮和第四次浪潮,厘清《道德经》英译译释四模式。针对《道德经》的复译现象,集中讨论分析中国古代主要修辞手法“赋、比、兴”的英译,选取理雅各、韦利、安乐哲和林语堂4种经典英译本,对比分析西学、经学、汉学以及国学译释模式在原文修辞-译文语法跨语界面转换中的体现。旨在为当下《道德经》翻译的国学模式提供语言学理论拓展和实践参照,以期助益典籍外译译释学研究的发展。Through philosophical reflections on hermeneutics and the three climaxes and the fourth wave of the English translation of theTao Te Ching,one of the most widely disseminated and respected Chinese texts in the West,the corresponding four hermeneutic modes of English translation of theTao Te Chingare discussed.Centered on the retranslation of the Tao Te Chingand the discussion and analysis of the English translations of the three major rhetorical devices of ancient China,“Fu,Bi,Xing”,four classic English translations by James Legge,Arthur Waley,Roger T.Ames,and Lin Yutang,are selected for a specific comparative analysis of how the four modes for trans-hermeneutics,namely,the modes of Western Studies,Classics Studies,Sinology and National Studies are manifested in the translation of the original text's rhetorical-grammatical cross-language interfaces.It is expected to provide linguistic theoretical expansion and practical reference for the Chinese National mode of the translation of the Tao Te Chingand facilitate the trans-hermeneutics research of Chinese classics.
