摘 要:田愚(号艮斋)是朝鲜朝末期的朱子学大家、性理学巨擘,有“东方巨儒”之称。他生当鲜末王纲解纽之际,又经历了日帝对朝鲜的殖民统治,在此天崩地坼的特殊时代,作为一名餍沃经史的大儒,他坚守朱子学立场,弘扬性理,“斥邪卫正”,为维护传统儒家的正当性作了最后的抗争。面对当时汹涌的西潮和挟洋流行的各种开化思想,艮斋本于性理学的根本精神,对之一一作出回应,尤其对韩开化派的重要理论泉源之梁启超的反传统思想进行了痛切反省和深入剖析,表现了传统与现代复杂纠结、民族精神和西化潮流汇聚交错的境况下,一个守旧的传统儒者之特有的精神状态。Tian Yu,known as Genzhai,was a prominent Neo-Confucian and scholar of moral philosophy during the final days of the Korean Joseon Dynasty,earning the title “Great Confucian of the East.”Born at a time when the dynastic principles were unraveling at the end of the Joseon period and experiencing the colonial rule of Imperial Japan,Genzhai witnessed a period of monumental upheaval. As a distinguished scholar well-versed in classics and history,he staunchly adhered to Neo-Confucian principles,promoted moral philosophy,and defended orthodoxy in an effort to uphold the legitimacy of traditional Confucianism against modern challenges. Confronted with the overwhelming influence of Westernization and various enlightenment ideologies, Genzhai responded from the fundamental spirit of moral philosophy,particularly conducting a poignant reflection and thorough analysis of Liang Qichao's anti-traditional thoughts,which were central to the Korean enlightenment faction. His work illustrates the complex entanglement of tradition and modernity and the convergence of national spirit and Western influences,highlighting the unique mental state of a conservative Confucian in such transformative times.
