摘 要:爱尔兰戏剧运动为爱尔兰发明了民族身份,构建了民族文学和民族意识,是爱尔兰独立运动的重要组成部分。从“五四”至今,爱尔兰剧运在中国的译介已经走过一个世纪的历程。在这次漫长的跨文化旅行之初,它同时扮演了“戏剧的启蒙”和“启蒙的戏剧”的双重角色,满足了中国新文学建立之初对文学和政治的双重诉求。在此后百年的时间里,因为契合或偏离时代主题、意识形态和主流诗学,爱尔兰剧运在中国的命运几经沉浮,但大多数经典作品都被陆续绍介和翻译到了中国,积极参与了中国社会和文学现代性的转变,尤其对中国话剧的生成和发展起到了积极的建构作用。In its endeavor to define and determine the basis of Irish claims for political independence,the Irish Dramatic Movement attempted to forge the national identity,literature and consciousness.The translation and spread of works of the Movement in China began during the May Fourth Movement period when it was interpreted as the incorporation of dramatic enlightenment and enlightening drama for China to pursue both its own artistic and political agenda.Over the century-long cross-cultural journey,though the fate of the Irish Dramatic Movement in China has undergone ups and downs due to its conformity to or deviation from the dominant themes,ideology and poetics of changing times,its major works have found their way into China and contributed to China's literary and social modernization,most notably to the birth and development of China's modern spoken drama(huaju).
