地学类核心期刊英文翻译的谬误及提升建议

摘　　要：本文分析了地学类核心期刊英文翻译中存在的问题,包括前后翻译不一致、误翻、漏翻,时态、语态、冠词使用、介词使用、所有格使用、长难句、书名翻译、标点符号、术语大小写等,并给出典型示例讲解,旨在引起广大编辑部对英文翻译的重视,希望编辑可以举一反三,尽量避免这类问题的出现。在此基础上,从发挥主观能动性方面提出了4点提升策略:检查期刊英文翻译是否齐全;增设英文审读环节;充分利用网络资源主动学习,积极参加相关培训和本学科国际研讨会;修炼严谨细致、认真负责的工匠精神,克服畏难情绪,努力建立本学科专业术语英语翻译语料库。The author analyzed the problems existing in the English translation of geoscience core journals,such as inconsistencies in translation,mistranslation,omissions,issues with tense,voice,the use of articles,prepositions,possessive forms,complex sentences,translation of book titles,punctuation,capitalization of terms.Typical examples were provided to illustrate thses issues aiming to draw the attention of the editorial department to English translation.It is hoped that editors could learn from these examples to avoid such problems.In the end,the author proposed four improvement strategies mainly from the aspect of exerting subjective initiative:checking the completeness of English translation in journal;establishing an English review process;taking full advantage of online resources for active learning;and actively participating in relevant training and international conferences in the discipline;cultivating a meticulous and responsible craftsmanship spirit,overcoming diffidence,and striving to establish an English translation corpus for professional terminology in the discipline.
