莫言《生死疲劳》英译本海外接受情况研究——基于AntConc和Sketch Engine语料库工具的在线书评分析

摘　　要：中国文化“走出去”是国家提高软实力的一大战略,而从海外读者视角对文学作品“走出去”案例进行具体研究的文献较少。文章利用评价框架对海外在线书评网站Goodreads关于莫言《生死疲劳》英译版普通读者评论进行有效性收集与筛选,采取定性定量相结合的研究范式建立独立语料库,对译本的评论进行分类与统计,并使用语料库分析工具进行词频分析,考察海外读者对该书的接受情况。研究发现,该书整体接受情况较好,倾向于接受的评论观点集中于认为小说有丰富的历史、叙事视角独到、具有魔幻现实主义风格等;倾向于不接受的评论观点集中于认为存在作品冗长、内容重沓、叙事视角转换频繁、人名难记等问题。Chinese culture“going global”is one of China’s major strategies to enhance its nation’s soft power.However,detailed research on the successful“going global”cases from an overseas perspective is rare.This research uses Appraisal Framework to categorize the valid book reviews of“Life and Death are Wearing Me Out”by Mo Yan,collected from Goodreads,an overseas online book review website.Combining quantitative and qualitative research paradigms,creating individual corpora,this research classifies and analyzes the book reviews.By using corpus tools to perform frequency analysis,the overseas reader’s reception of this book is revealed.The findings demonstrate that the overall reception of the book is good.Reviews that exhibit a positive reception are mainly centered around appreciating the novel’s abundant history,original narrative,magic realism;reviews that represent negative reception focus on expounding the novel is too lengthy,the content repeats too much,frequent narrative shifts,and confusing names.
