摘 要:中国文学的海外译介和传播效果与译介学密切相关。影响中国文化文学走出去的一个重要因素就是对译入和译出翻译方向的准确把握和捕捉。目前,中国文学的英美读者大致分为从事中国现当代文学研究的专业读者,受过一定教育对文学感兴趣和对中国社会文化感兴趣的普通读者。基于英美受众分析的中国文学外译选材:语言通俗易懂,文化专有项少的作品;故事情节简洁明快的作品;主题为人类普遍问题的作品;反映中国当代与地域及民族特色文化的作品;满足英美受众现实需求的作品;兼具东西方文化特质的作品;具有创新精神的作品;修辞高超的作品;选材以小说为主,其他文学样式辅助;其他成长类、实用类文学作品;由外籍作家创作的书写中国的作品。The outward translation and communication effects of Chinese literature are closely related to translation studies.An important factor in promoting Chinese culture and literature going global lies in the accurate grasp of the translation direction.Currently,British and American audience of Chinese literature can be broadly categorized into two groups:professional readers specialized in the study of contemporary Chinese literature and the general ones who are moderately educated and interested in Chinese society and culture.After examining the British and American audience,this paper finds the selection of outward translation of Chinese literature are works that are intelligible with fewer culture-loaded words,that are plot-driven,universally themed,and reflective of contemporary China’s regional and ethnic diversity,that meet the practical needs of target audience,that blend Eastern and Western cultural traits,that encourage innovation,and that are full of masterful rhetorical devices.The majority of them are novels,and the rest are growth-oriented and practical literary works,some of which are written by non-Chinese for narrating China.
