翻译地理学视域下的民族文学作品英译研究——以徐译《额尔古纳河右岸》为例

摘　　要：《额尔古纳河右岸》是作家迟子建所著的一部长篇小说,讲述了生活在中国东北边陲的鄂温克族人近百年的游牧生活和历史变迁,作品获第七届茅盾文学奖,被翻译成了多种语言,受到众多海外读者的喜爱。以汉学家徐穆实(Bruce Humes)翻译的《额尔古纳河右岸》英译本为研究对象,在翻译地理学视域下分析民族文学作品翻译中的译者情怀、翻译策略及翻译方法,探究如何更加传神地再现原文的内涵和精髓,并考虑读者的接受心理和阅读习惯,以期使海外读者能更好地了解中国民族文学和文化。The Last Quarter of the Moon,is a novel written by China′s famous writer Chi Zijian,which tells the century-long stories of the Ewenki ethnic group in Northeast China.It won the 7th Mao Dun Literature Award and has been translated into multiple languages,well acknowledged among overseas readers.This paper focuses on the English version of The Last Quarter of the Moon,analyzing the translator′s emotions,translation strategies and methods from the perspective of geo-translation studies.It tries to illustrate approaches to reproducing the connotation and spirit of the original text and maintaining readers′better acceptance in the translation so that overseas readers can better understand the literature and culture of the Ewenki ethnic group in China.
