译境视域下朱湘变通译法价值考——以《鲁拜集·希望》三个汉译版本的比较为例

摘　　要：翻译家朱湘主张以变通译法再现诗歌优美意境,译出许多诗味隽永的佳作,译诗鲁拜便是典范之一。以朱湘、胡适、郭沫若《鲁拜集·希望》汉译版本比较为例,分析朱湘如何匠心独运地再现原作的神韵与意境,提升译作的接受效果。对比发现,不同于胡适的自由意译和郭沫若的字面直译,朱湘以变通译境的方式,形神兼备地译活了原诗的神韵。其秘诀是以意境再现为宗旨,以意境的构造肌理为准则,根据中西文学的共性与差异进行变通,文质兼善地译出诗意盎然的意境。朱湘的变通译法将诗歌翻译的文学性、科学性和接受性融为一体,不仅为西诗汉译研究提供了重要路径,也为中国诗歌译介与传播提供了良好借鉴。The translator Zhu Xiang advocates to beautifully reproduce poetic flavor with flexibility and has translated many excellent works.His translated poems from Rubaiyat are good examples.With a comparison of three Chinese translations of a poem from Rubaiyat by Zhu Xiang,Hu Shi and Guo Moruo,this paper analyzes how Zhu Xiang skillfully reproduces the spirit and flavor of the original work,and greatly enhances the acceptance effect of the translated work.The comparison shows that different from the literal translation of Guo Moruo and the free translation of Hu Shi,Zhu Xiang has vividly and flexibly translated the poem′s vitality both in form and spirit.This is because he not only knows that retaining poetic flavor is the key to poetic translation but also knows the art of making poetry and can make variations in translation according to the commonality and difference of Chinese and Western literature.Zhu Xiang′s flexible translation integrates the literariness,scientificity and receptivity in poetry translation and it not only provides an important way for the study of the translation of Western poetry into Chinese,but also offers a valuable reference for the translation and dissemination of Chinese poetry to the world readers.
