摘　　要：外交话语英译中大量采用陌生化策略的现象值得更多关注。本文以2022-2023年国家领导人国际演讲为例,分析探讨了英译版本多次采用这一翻译策略,有效地向国际社会传递出中国声音和中国立场。对习近平主席话语中常用隐喻、文化典故、古典诗歌等进行陌生化处理,不仅增添了语言的新鲜感及异国风味,也给受众带来语言上的冲击,引其回味和思考。Defamiliarization used in C-E translation of diplomatic discourse deserves more attention from the translation world.It has been discovered that this strategy has been widely used in the C-E translation of speeches delivered by President Xi Jinping during his visits abroad(2022-2023),conveying the sound and clarifying stance of China towards international community effectively.The application of defamiliarization in Xi’s diplomatic discourse featured by the prevalence of culture allusions,classic sayings of Chinese celebrities,metaphors,etc.not only brings fresh expressions and foreign flavour to English members,but also greatly inspires the English listeners.
