机器翻译在医学结构式论文摘要中的问题分析——以百度翻译为例

摘　　要：是中国医学期刊论文必不可少的一部分,文章以公众所熟知的主流翻译软件——百度翻译为例,从国内顶级医学期刊《中华医学杂志》的不同分科中随机选取50篇论文摘要,重点从词汇、句法以及文本规范层面将机器译文同期刊发布的摘要译文展开对比研究。研究发现,机器翻译在处理这类文本中存在医学术语、机构名称以及句子表达等错误问题。笔者建议医学工作者以及相关编辑人员在使用机器翻译时,注意了解机器翻译在该类文本翻译中的特点,从而有针对性地进行译后编辑,以提升译文质量。English abstracts are indispensable in Chinese medical papers.Taking Baidu Translation,a popular machine translation engine,as an example,the author randomly selects 50 abstracts from different disciplines of National Medical Journal of China,a top medical journal in China,and makes a comparative study between machine translation and reference translation of the journal in medical structured abstracts from the perspectives of vocabulary,syntax and text norms.It is found that machine translation make some mistakes in translating medical terms,institution names and sentences in this kind of text.It is advised that medical workers and editors should pay more attention to machine translation application in this kind of text translation so as to make targeted post-translation editing and improve the quality of translation.
