摘 要:以公羊释《论语》,这是晚清常州今文经学家及其后学所孜孜以求的,戴望的《论语注》亦是如此。该著对公羊学大师董仲舒及其《春秋繁露》以至《汉书·董仲舒传》等给予了特别关注,往往援引其中的公羊义例来阐发《论语》深意,凸显仁义宗旨,推原礼制之本,其经世取向十分鲜明。而戴望借董仲舒来阐释《论语》,与其人生经历、求学背景以及当时的社会变迁有密切的联系。Interpreting The Analects from the perspective of Gongyang School was a pursuit that the Classics scholars of the Changzhou School in the late Qing Dynasty and their successors were dedicated to,and Dai Wang’s Annotation of The Analects is no exception.This work pays special attention to Dong Zhongshu,master of the Gongyang School,as well as his works such as Luxuriant Gems of The Spring and Autumn Annals and The Biography of Dong Zhongshu in the History of the Han Dynasty.It often cites examples from Gongyang School to elucidate the profound meaning of The Analects,highlighting the purpose of benevolence and righteousness,and tracing the origin of the ritual system.Its emphasis on practical governance is very clear.Dai Wang’s interpretation of The Analects through Dong Zhongshu is closely related to his life experiences,academic background,and the social changes of that time.
