摘 要:葛译《檀香刑》展现了中国乡土文学的重新创作和改写,成为海外翻译传播的成功典范。试以此为例,探讨葛浩文对原作翻译的动态处理。研究发现,葛浩文对文化负载词进行了成功的改写,但也存在着有意误译和无意误译现象,前者在一定程度上促进了中国乡土文学的传播,后者则呈现出翻译过程中忠实性与创造性平衡的挑战,如何在翻译中实现二者平衡,是当前需要进一步研究和探讨的重要议题。Goldblatt’s translation of“Sandalwood Death”demonstrates the re-creation and rewriting of Chinese local literature and becomes a successful model for overseas translation and dissemination.Taking this as an example,we can explore Goldblatt’s dynamic approach to translating the original.Research has found that Goldblatt’s has successfully rewritten words laden with cultural connotations.However,there are also intentional and unintentional mistranslations.The former has,to some extent,promoted the dissemination of Chinese rural literature,while the latter poses a challenge in balancing fidelity and creativity in the translation process.How to strike a balance between the two in translation is an important issue that requires further research and exploration.
