《七缀集》在英语世界的译介与传播研究

摘　　要：本文基于纸质文献以及WorldCat、Google Scholar、JSTOR、ProQuest、大英图书馆、美国国会图书馆等网络资源的搜集、整理与细读,考察《七缀集》在英语世界的译介与传播现状。结果发现:(1)整体上,《七缀集》中七篇论文受到不同程度的关注,多学科视角切入的研究成果有力推动了海外“钱学”研究,但在翻译、介绍和研究三个方面存在失衡。(2)翻译方面,变译本多于全译本,为研而译多于为译而译,兼职型译者多于专业型译者。(3)介绍方面,各篇论文的介评时间和数量不平衡,片段引用和零星介绍多于整书推介和英译本评介。(4)研究方面,零星、碎片的旁敲侧击式研究多于系统、深入的聚焦式专题研究;不乏新见、洞见和创见,但存在误解、偏见和成见。总结《七缀集》在英语世界译介与传播的经验得失,可为中国文学与文化作品的翻译传播和世界化进程提供借鉴与反思。Based on the collection,categorization and close reading of paper,documents,and online resources from WorldCat,Google Scholar,JSTOR,ProQuest,the British Library,the Library of Congress in the United States,etc.,this article aims to examine the translation,introduction,and dissemination of Qi Zhui Ji(Patchwork:Seven Essays on Art and Literature)in the English-speaking world.The results show as follows:In general,the seven constituent articles in Qi Zhui Ji have received more or less attention,and fruitful researches from a multi-disciplinary perspective have furthered the development of overseas"Qian Studies",but there are imbalances in the English translation,introduction,and research of the seven articles.②In terms of translation,there are more variational translations than complete translations,and more translations as reference for research than those for the sake of translation,so there are more researchers-cum-translators than professional translators.In terms of introduction,there exist imbalances in time and number of introducing different articles and there are more fragmentary citations and piecemeal introductions than the introductions of the collection or reviews of its English version.In terms of research,there are more scattered marginal studies than systematic and in-depth thematic studies,and there are fresh,insightful,and original ideas as well as partial misunderstandings and bias.Such a critical review of the gains and losses of the translation,introduction,and research of Qi Zhui Ji in the English-speaking world may provide reference and reflection for the translational communication and worlding process of Chinese literary and academic works.
