乔叟《坎特伯雷故事》中“法博俚”故事的文体特征

摘　　要：Fabliau是乔叟《坎特伯雷故事》中最具特色、最为突出的文体之一,也是乔叟文学作品研究的必备知识,然而目前我们对该文体还没有一个统一的中文术语,对其文体特征也缺乏了解,这无疑将妨碍我们深入讨论和解读乔叟以及中世纪欧洲文学作品中该文体故事的深刻蕴意。本文在文献回顾和例证分析的基础上,尝试将fabliau翻译为“法博俚”,将其文体特征归纳总结为章法、博弈和俚俗,并着重以乔叟的法博俚故事为例,探讨法博俚故事的文体特征。乔叟的法博俚在继承法语法博俚的基础上有效地将本土文化融入其中,赋予法博俚以新生命,将法博俚文体创作推向一个新高度,促进了英语本土语言和文化的传播和普及。As one of the most distinctive genres in Chaucer’s The Canterbury Tales,fabliau should be a pre-requisite knowledge for Chaucer studies.Yet there is no consensus in China for the Chinese translation of this term,nor are we clear about its generic features.This undoubtedly is a hindrance for us to discuss and understand Chaucer’s fabliaux and medieval European literature in general.Based on the literary review and textual analysis,this paper attempts to propose a Chinese term for fabliau,and to summarize its three generic features.The three features—rules,rivalry,and folklore—are particularly analyzed with examples taken from Chaucer’s fabliaux.Chaucer draws his inspiration from the French fabliau tradition and pushes the genre to a new height by renovating it with English vernacular culture.
