Plant hormones play a crucial role in regulating the growth and development of plants, and recent studies have found that plant hormones also have significant physiological effects in edible fungi.Applying plant hormones to the cultivation techniques of edible fungi can regulate their growth and development, increase the yield, improve the quality, and affect the biological synthesis of active substances.Meanwhile, plant hormones can also be used as a preservation technology to extend the post-harvest storage time of edible fungi and improve their antimicrobial and disease resistance.By reviewing the physiological effects of plant hormones on the growth and development of edible fungi and focusing on the mechanisms of action of auxin, gibberellin, cell division, abscisic acid, naphthalene acetic acid, and salicylic acid on edible fungi,to provide more feasible references for the application of plant hormones in the edible fungi industry.
