摘  要:黄道周对德性与生命的理解蕴含着深刻的思想资源。面对“德性生活何以可能”这一问题,黄道周的人性论与工夫论思想可以提供以下两种可能性:一是心性层面,人之至善的性体为道德践履提供了形而上的保障,其无限向善性为人人提供了积极的生存目标和使命;二是实践层面,黄道周极力推崇孝道,强调人一生应注重孝道之践行以实现天之所命、死得其所,并揭示了道德主体存在一“死而不灭”的维度,能克服因死亡的虚无感而导致的道德践行困境和对德性生活的否定。理解黄道周关于“性”与“生”的内涵和关系,有助于回答“人为何应过有德的生活”这一问题。Huang Daozhou's understanding of virtue and life embodies profound ideology.Faced with the question of"why the virtuous life is possible",Huang Daozhou's theories of human nature and efforts can provide the following two possibilities:at the humanity level,the supreme goodness of human nature ensures that everyone has a positive life goal,and the existence of benevolence and filial piety provides a metaphysical guarantee for moral practice;at the practical level,Huang Daozhou strongly advocates filial piety emphasizing that people should pay attention to practicing filial piety throughout their livesto achieve the lifegoal and the worthy death,overcoming the moral practice dilemma caused by the nihility of death and the negation of moral life.The understanding of the connotation and relationship between"humanity"and"life"by Huang Daozhou helps to answer the question of"why people should live a virtuous life".
