概念隐喻视域下《伤寒论》方剂名英译研究

摘　　要：《伤寒论》是中国医学史上现存最早的一部完整系统的临床医学著作,所载112方被后世称作“经方”,其方剂名蕴含着丰富的中医文化内涵。本文基于概念隐喻理论从结构隐喻类、方位隐喻类、本体隐喻类对取自魏迺杰英译本和罗希文英译本的《伤寒论》的方剂名示范语料隐喻现象的形成原因、方剂名内涵、方剂名不同的英译情况以及英译所采用的翻译策略进行逐一分析,以探讨隐喻性方剂名的最佳翻译,最终总结出3条翻译策略:增加注释、意译和文化转换,以期助益《伤寒论》方剂名英译研究和中医药国际交流与传播。Shang Han Lun is the earliest extant complete and systematic clinical medical work in the history of Chinese medicine.The 112 formulas recorded in Shang Han Lun are referred to as“classic prescriptions”by later generations and the formula terms contain rich cultural connotations of Chinese medicine.Based on the theory of conceptual metaphor,this paper analyzes the reasons for the formation of metaphor phenomena,connotations,different English translations of formula terms and the translation strategies adopted in the model corpus of Shang Han Lun from Nigel Wiseman's translation and Luo Xiwen's translation in terms of structural,orientation and ontological metaphors.Finally,three translation strategies are summarized:adding annotation,free translation and cultural transformation in order to benefit the research on the English translation of formula terms of Shang Han Lun and the international communication and dissemination of Chinese medicine.
