摘 要:为了更好地研究生活中的语言现象,该文以应用语言学为研究方法,立足于“小土豆”“小砂糖橘”这些突然走红的昵称,从这些词语的流行轨迹、成因及反映的语言学问题入手,对其流行背后的语言现象进行研究,并以“小土豆”“小砂糖橘”为原型,对34个省级行政区的昵称进行统计。研究发现:“小土豆”“小砂糖橘”这些昵称经历了萌芽和发展两个阶段,其形成受到了本体隐喻机制、转喻机制和“小X”词族的影响。这些昵称的流行反映了语言的类推性、语言的文化内涵、语言的运动与创新,以及昵称的亲切感。同时,面对“小土豆”“小砂糖橘”等昵称所引发的争议,应注意语境、使用场合及生造滥造等问题。This article focuses on the sudden popularity of nicknames such as"Little Potato"and"Little Sugar Orange".Starting from the popularity trajectory,causes,and linguistic issues reflected by these words,it studies the language phenomena behind their popularity.Research has found that nicknames such as"Little Potato"and"Little Sugar Orange"have gone through two stages of germination and development,and their formation is influenced by ontological metaphor mechanisms,metaphorical mechanisms,and the"Little×"word family.The popularity of these nicknames reflects the analogy of language,the cultural connotations of language,the movement and innovation of language,and the familiarity of nicknames.At the same time,in the face of controversies caused by nicknames such as"Little Potato"and"Little Sugar Orange",attention should be paid to context,usage scenarios,and excessive production.
