非英语专业口译课程的探索——以会展经济与管理专业为例

摘  要:“会展英语”课程应重点培养学生的汉英转换能力,即在会展策划、营销、管理、实施及相关接待时能将所思所想快速转换成英语,实现流畅交流。基于此目标,可参考英语专业的口译课程模式,开设“会展实务口译”课程,将交传和视译与会展业务有机结合,帮助学生强化汉英转换能力,全面提升听说以及笔译、公共演讲、跨文化交际等技能,更好地满足就业需求。此外,该课程主题限制在会展实务,并不太多涉及会议具体内容,如教育、经贸、科技、时政等话题,这样更符合会展人才培养的目标,突出专业特点,更好地满足今后的工作需求。The focus of the English course related to MICE(Meetings,Incentives,Conferences/Conventions and Exhibitions)is supposed to help students cultivate the ability to convert Chinese into English and vice versa,which means that students are able to quickly express their thoughts in English during the planning,marketing,managing,implementing process of MICE and other related reception work.To achieve this goal,we can refer to the interpreting course of English majors and set up a practical MICE-focused interpreting course,which combines consecutive interpreting and sight translation with specific business practices to help students enhance their Chinese-English conversion ability,comprehensively improve their listening skills,as well as skills of written translation,public speaking and cross-cultural communication,so as to better meet the needs of the employment market.
