基于语料库的《尤利西斯》两译本临时词汉译批评研究

摘　　要：临时词是文学作品艺术性的具体表现,也给翻译带来极大的挑战。以《尤利西斯》意识流临时词为考察对象,沿着基于语料库的文学翻译批评路径,对比萧乾夫妇和金隄两个汉语译本的处理。研究发现:原文临时词分为混合临时词、复合临时词、拟音/形临时词、截短临时词、误拼临时词、派生临时词共6类,发挥着不同的诗学功能。两译本运用了4种翻译方法,相当一部分临时词被抹平或省译,但金隄译本的整体重构多于萧乾夫妇译本,出现这种差异的主要原因在于译者相异的诗学观和文体观。Nonce words(NWs)are writers'creative use of language and manifestation of the artistry of literary works.They not only provide readers with aesthetic enjoyment,but also bring great challenges to translation.Following the research paradigm of corpus-based literary translation criticism,the present study aims to compare and evaluate the translation of NWs in the two Chinese versions of Ulysses.Six types of NWs—created through blending,compounding,imitation,clipping,intentional misspelling,and derivation—are identified in the source text,each exerting a distinct poetic function depending on the context.The two Chinese versions mainly adopt four translation methods:overall reconstruction,partial reconstruction,normalization and omitting.A considerable number of NWs are normalized or omitted in both of the versions,while Jin Di's translation manages to reconstruct and keep more NWs than Xiao Qian&Wen Jie-ruo's.The result can be accounted for by the translators'contrasting views on poetics and stylistics.
