摘　　要：Circular RNAs(circRNAs)are endogenous single-stranded RNAs with a covalently closed loop generated from'backsplicing'of precursor mRNA(pre-mRNA)in the nucleus.Mounting evidence emphasizes their significance in cellular homeostasis by serving as miRNA sponges,scaffolds for biomolecules,or templates for translation.circRNA dysregulation has been implicated in human diseases,and clinical trials of circRNAs as potential biomarkers or therapeutic agents are ongoing.
