摘　　要：在日常生活世界,情感是人们相互交流、表达愿望和达成共识的重要方式之一,即所谓“晓之以理,动之以情”。积极、良好的情感具有抚慰人心、稳定社会的作用;焦虑、厌恶和愤怒等否定性情感则可能引发家庭、社会和世界的矛盾冲突;而忧伤等更加中性、节制的情感则显露出另一种中国式的情感结构特征。In the realm of daily life,emotion serves as one of the vital means for individuals to interact,express desires,and reach consensus,embodying the saying“persuade with reason and move with emotion”.Positive and healthy emotions have the effect of comforting people and stabilizing society;whereas negative emotions such as anxiety,disgust,and anger may trigger conflicts within families,societies,and even globally.Neutral and moderate emotions,such as sadness,reveal another Chinese style emotional structural feature.In today's world,due to multiple factors including de-globalization and wars,the entire globe finds itself in an“age of uncertainty”,leading to complex and ever-changing emotional states among individuals and societies.We have witnessed numerous social incidents and public opinion crises triggered by disappointment,anger,and anxiety.Especially in the age of media and human-machine society,is emotion still a privilege exclusive to human beings?How should emotions find their place in the digital era?What emotional attitudes of contemporary Chinese people are reflected in the dissemination of new media forms such as micro-short dramas?How can young people escape the emotional dilemma of digital narcissism?Focusing on these questions,we convened a seminar titled“Expressing Emotions:Daily Life and the Emotional Structure of Contemporary Chinese”.This seminar aims to explore how to facilitate communication,empathy,and consensus through diverse channels while respecting the rich expressions of individual emotions in modern society.Professor Zhao Jingrong calls for recognizing and re-examining the agency of“things”and the possibility of“materialized affection”in the digital age.Professor Wang Xin pointed out that the sense of life and existence represented by“sadness”retains the subjectivity of human beings in the era of human-machine symbiosis.Professor Fan Jin reveals the constructive nature of daily life in the era of mass media.Professor Tang Yonghua focuses on the current popular onli
