民国时期北京大学图书馆学教育起源与发展

摘　　要：民国时期是中国现代教育体系形成和发展的重要时期,北京大学作为当时中国高等教育的领军学府,在图书馆学教育方面也做出了开创性的贡献。目前现有学术成果多着墨于1947年王重民在北京大学文学院开设图书馆学专修科。文章认为,民国时期北京大学图书馆学教育活动开启于1920年,到1949年前,分为三个阶段:1920-1924,培养图书馆学教育专才;1924-1947,开设图书学课程;1947-1949创设图书馆学专修科,并对三个阶段的发展历程、课程设置内容和课程体系进行详细梳理,揭示北京大学图书馆学教育在民国时期的发展脉络,总结分析其特点,为当代图书馆学教育实践提供参考。The Republic of China era is an important period for the establishment and evolution of Chinese modern education system.Peking University has made a pioneering contribution to the library science education,which has undergone a process from scratch to gradual development,leaving a significant mark in the history of library science development and subject education in China.However,existing academic papers on the origin and development of library science education at Peking University during the Republic of China period mostly focus on 1947,when Wang Zhongmin set up the library science specialty,with limited attention to the broader development trajectory,curriculum evolution,and educational characteristics from 1920 to 1949.This paper aims to make a comprehensive review of the origin and development of library science education in Peking University during the Republic of China and its implications for modern library science education.The paper considers the library science education in Peking University during the Republic of China began in 1920,and was divided into three development stages before 1949.The first stage(1920-1924)involved plans to train library professionals,during which the university sponsored graduates like Yuan Tongli to study library science in Britain and the United States to prepare faculty for future programs.The second stage(1924-1937)began with Yuan Tongli introducing the“Book Science Course”in the Department of Education,which officially began the library science education of Peking University.Some courses continued to be offered until the 1930s.In 1937,Yan Wenyu gave the elective course of Library Science in the School of Literature of Peking University,which was stopped due to the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War until 1947.The third stage(1947-1949)saw Wang Zhongmin establish a dedicated library science department in the School of Arts and Literature,restoring and institutionalizing library science education.This paper reviews the development,curriculum content and curriculum sys
