参与式教学在血红蛋白及相关遗传病选修课中的应用

摘  要:血红蛋白病具有发病率高、病情复杂、危害大等特点,是临床实践中经常遇到的病种。因此,教师有必要在医学生中开展相关知识的拓展。文章以中山大学中山医学院医学遗传学教研室开设的血红蛋白及相关遗传病通识教育选修课程为例,从教学目标、课程设计与实践、教学效果和教学效果评价等方面进行分析。该课程采用多元化教学手段,以实践教学为主,包括实验、病例讨论和PPT交流展示,采用以学生为中心,调动学生主动学习、思考和实践为目标的参与式教学模式。95.3分和95.18分的教学评价分数,表明学生对该课程的教学效果相对满意。另一方面,在部分选修学生中检出珠蛋白基因突变,反映了有必要在以南方地区为主的学生群体中开展地中海贫血基因检测及血红蛋白相关遗传病的知识拓展。Hemoglobinopathies are common diseases in clinical practice and they are characterized by high incidence,complex condition,and great harm.Therefore,it is necessary for medical students to acquire relevant knowledge.“Hemoglobin and relevant genetic diseases”is an elective course of general education for medical undergraduates and this paper discusses its teaching objectives,course design and practice,teaching effect,and teaching evaluation.The teachers give priority to practical teaching and they have adopted diversified teaching methods of experiments,case-based learning,and oral presentations using PPT.This course is student-centered and teachers employ participatory teaching and learning approach,aiming to encourage the students to get actively involved in learning,thinking,and practice.Based on the results from online teaching evaluation system,the students of two classes are satisfied with the course and the scores for teaching effect are 95.3 and 95.18,respectively.Globin gene mutations were detected in some students who took the course,and it is necessary to carry out genetic testing for thalassemia and make the knowledge of genetic diseases related to hemoglobin available to the southern students.
