摘　　要：作为显赫一时的文学流派,桐城派虽以古文享誉学林,却也致力于研究经学,且格外关注礼学。桐城派在建构古文义法的过程中,以阐明经学为目标,以文章为表现形式,将对经学的研究贯穿其中。其间礼学尤为重要,桐城派学人将对礼学的观照融入个人的学术发展,由“研礼”而“通经”,进而“明道”。桐城派学人谨守程朱理学之宗旨,本着“以礼明道”进而“明经义”的治礼旨趣,在对礼学的具体研究中不专究于对名物制度的考辨,在不废考据、训诂的同时长于“以理解礼”,又因学术发展变化而期望“以礼止争”,从而“会通汉宋”。不惟如此,桐城派学人还深谙礼学的经世之功,期望在具体的社会实践中践行礼学。历来学界对桐城派的研究主要是从文学史的角度探讨桐城派的古文成就,然想要考察桐城派在我国学术思想史上的地位,应从经学、史学、文学等多维度纵观桐城派。As a prominent literary school,the Tongcheng School is renowned for its classical prose,yet it also dedicated itself to Confucian classics studies,with a particular focus on ritual studies.In constructing the principles of classical prose,Tongcheng scholars aimed to elucidate Confucian classics through literary expression,integrating their studies of the classics into their writings.Among these pursuits,ritual studies held special significance.Tongcheng scholars incorporated their reflections on ritual studies into their personal academic development,progressing from“studying rituals”to“mastering the classics”and ultimately to“illuminating the Dao”.Adhering to the tenets of Neo-Confucianism,they pursued a scholarly approach to ritual studies grounded in“clarifying the Dao through rituals”and thereby“illuminating the meaning of the classics”.In their ritual studies,they did not limit themselves to textual analyses of terminology and institutions;while valuing textual research and exegesis,they excelled at“interpreting rituals through Neo-Confucianism”.Furthermore,amid evolving academic trends,they sought to“resolve disputes through rituals”and“synthesize Han Learning and Song Learning”.In addition to this,Tongcheng scholars deeply understood the practical application of ritual studies and aspired to implement it in social practice.Previous research on the Tongcheng School has predominantly examined its achievements in classical prose from a perspective of literary history.However,to fully assess the school's position in China’s history of academic thought,a multidimensional analysis encompassing classics,historiography,and literature is essential.
