摘 要:近四十年来,传统儒学研究经历了从合法性/正当性到自觉性的转变,李承贵教授《儒学的义理与敞开》既是这一认知转变的见证,也是这一自我觉醒的例证。该书引发我们思考儒学当代开展的两个关键:如何义理和怎样敞开。以往传统儒学研究倾向于寻找传统儒学的哲学思想,这是沿袭西方哲学史框架的哲学史再现,就传统儒学研究的当代开展来说,还应当以一种哲学的方式进行传统儒学的研究。哲学研究应当追求超越不同文化传统的普遍性,并使用现代学术规范来实现古今互通。The study of traditional Confucianism has undergone a significant transformation over the past four decades,from a search for validity or legitimacy to a quest for self-consciousness.Professor Li Chenggui's monograph On Confucianism's Moral Principles and Unfolding is not only a witness to this cognitive transformation but also an example of such a self-awakening.It initiates a rethinking of the two keys to the present-day practice of Confucianism,namely how to define Confucian moral principles(yili)and how to unfold Confucianism.Previous research has focused on identifying philosophical elements of traditional Confucianism,in what amounts to a presentation of the history of Chinese philosophy in compliance with the established framework of the history of Western philosophy.However,the contemporary study of traditional Confucianism should adopt a philosophical approach,with the aim of pursuing universality that transcends different cultural traditions and interconnects past and present through modern academic norms.
