摘　　要：译事本艰,译诗尤甚,毛泽东诗词英译更是一项挑战。飞散译者肩负着传递汉语文化特质的使命,他们致力于促进跨文化交流与传播,对推广毛泽东诗词具有不可忽视的意义。这些译者不仅是推动中华文化走向世界的中坚力量,更是提升中国文化软实力、促进世界文化多元共荣的重要推手。文章采用“内部批评”与“外部批评”相结合的研究方法,对飞散译者宋德利及其毛泽东诗词英译本进行了深入剖析。旨在探讨飞散译者在汉诗英译这一跨文化交流活动中所承担的文化使命及其所面临的局限与挑战。Translation is inherently challenging,particularly poetry translation.And translating Mao Zedong’s poetry into English poses an even greater challenge.Diaspora translators bear the mission of conveying the cultural traits of the Chinese language and strive to facilitate cross-cultural communication and dissemination.They play an undeniably significant role in promoting Mao Zedong’s poetry.These translators serve not only as the backbone in disseminating Chinese culture to the world,but also as a crucial driving force in enhancing China’s cultural soft power and fostering the diversity and prosperity of world cultures.This paper employs a research method that integrates“internal criticism”and“external criticism”to conduct an in-depth analysis of diaspora translator Song Deli and its English version of Mao Zedong’s poetry,aiming to explore the cultural mission undertaken by diaspora translators in the intercultural communication,as well as the limitations and challenges they encounter.
