教师职业生活的悖论

摘  要:教师职业生活存在着神圣性与世俗性、个体性与群体性、为己性与成人性的悖论,通过对这些悖论的觉解,教师可以不断克服职业生活的矛盾,解决职业生活的问题,赢得自由自觉的职业生活。如果教师职业生活的神圣性对其世俗性时刻发挥着批判、观照和引领的功能,并赋予其世俗性具有不可或缺的价值定位,教师职业生活的世俗性完全可以是蕴含神圣性的世俗性。教师是个体存在和群体存在的统一,将教师职业生活的群体性上升到教师职业生活公共性的高度,就可以规避教师职业生活的随意性和自我性。教师职业生活的为己性与成人性并不是不相兼容的,其相统一的过程在很大程度上取决于教师的自我定位,而这一过程也就是教师自我修养的过程。The professional life of teachers is fraught with paradoxes,encompassing the sacred and the secular,the individual and the collective,and the self-serving and the altruistic.Through a nuanced understanding of these paradoxes,teachers can continually navigate the contradictions in their professional lives,address the challenges inherent in their vocation,and attain a sense of purposeful autonomy.When the sanctity of a teacher's professional life consistently serves as a critical,reflective,and guiding force in relation to its secular aspects,and imparts an indispensable value orientation to its secular dimensions,the secular nature of a teacher's professional life can indeed embody a sacred quality.Teachers represent a unified presence of individuality and collectivity,and by elevating the collective dimension of teachers'professional lives to the level of publicness,the capriciousness and self-centeredness inherent in their professional lives can be mitigated.The coexistence of self-serving and altruistic elements in a teacher's professional life is not inherently incompatible;rather,their harmonization depends significantly on the teacher's self-positioning—a process that constitutes the cultivation of self-discipline in the teacher's ongoing journey of selfimprovement.
