以“孝道”英译为例探讨跨文化交际中文化空缺的应对策略

摘　　要：研究以“孝道”的英译为例,提出可以通过直译与意译结合、文化替代与解释以及语境重构与补充等策略,来有效应对“孝道”等极具中华文化特色的词语在英译过程中所面临的跨文化交际中的文化空缺问题。同时,研究还指出,随着全球化的深入发展,跨文化交际中的文化空缺问题将愈发凸显,因此需要不断探索和完善应对策略,以促进不同文化之间的理解和尊重。This study takes the English translation of“Filial Piety”as an example to explore in depth the strategies for addressing cultural gaps in cross-cultural communication.Research has found that strategies such as combining literal translation with free translation,cultural substitution and interpretation,and contextual reconstruction and supplementation can effectively address the cultural gaps faced by“Filial Piety”in the English translation process.These strategies not only help to accurately convey the cultural connotation of filial piety,but also promote the exchange and understanding of Chinese and Western cultures.At the same time,this study reveals the profound foundation and core values of filial piety in Chinese culture,emphasizing its important role in maintaining family harmony and inheriting cultural traditions.In addition,this study also points out that with the deepening of globalization,the issue of cultural gaps in cross-cultural communication will become increasingly prominent.Therefore,it is necessary to continuously explore and improve coping strategies to promote understanding and respect between different cultures.
