摘  要:美是西方哲学的重要概念之一,自古希腊至中世纪在最广泛的意义上被理解,并被视为“美好生活”的重要组成部分。20世纪欧洲主流美学学术领域将美简化为感官体验或审美愉悦,认为美在道德中没有价值,因此美的价值本身成为一个重新审视的问题。托马斯·阿奎那作为经院哲学的重要代表人物,在整体思想框架下对美的问题进行了思考。阿奎那所构建的美的概念意义丰富,表达了形而上学超验层面的秩序价值;肯定了人作为审美主体通过感性和理性可以对自然事物做出审美判断;还蕴含了道德认识和道德实践的伦理价值。阿奎那所建构的美的概念对当代肯认美的价值具有重要的参考意义。Beauty is one of the most important concepts in Western philosophy,understood broadly from ancient Greece to the Middle Ages,and regarded as an important component of the“good life”.In the 20th century,the mainstream aesthetic academic field in Europe re⁃duced beauty to sensory experience or aesthetic pleasure,and argued that beauty had no value in morality.Thus,the value of beauty itself needs to be re⁃examined.Thomas Aquinas,as an important representative figure of scholastic philosophy,thought about the question of beauty within the framework of holistic thought.The concept of beauty constructed by Aquinas is rich in meaning,expressing the transcendent order value of metaphysics,affirming that human be⁃ings as aesthetic subjects can make aesthetic judgments on natural objects through sensibility and reason,and containing ethical values related to moral cognition and moral practice.The concept of beauty constructed by Aquinas is of great reference significance to contemporary recognition of the value of beauty.
