翻译适应选择论视角下《红楼梦》霍译本中成语翻译策略研究

摘　　要：《红楼梦》作为中国古典小说的巅峰之作,体现着国家的文化与特色。《红楼梦》的各翻译版本中,霍译本是较好也较易被众人所接受的译本。成语是人们通过日常实践和生活历练总结出来的语言精华,具有深刻的民族烙印,是中国文字最独特的现象之一。《红楼梦》的霍译本中成语翻译采用不同的翻译策略来诠释文章,找到了汉英转换中较为平衡的一种状态。本文从翻译适应选择论出发,借助三维转换角度对《红楼梦》霍译本中成语翻译策略和技巧进行研究,以期为文学类作品中成语翻译提供借鉴和参考。The Story of the Stone,as the pinnacle of classical Chinese fiction,embodies the culture and characteristics of China.David Hawkes'translation is a better and more acceptable version.As the language essence has been extracted in the process of practice and use,idioms have strong national taste and are one of the most unique phenomena in Chinese characters.The idiom translation in the book finds a more balanced state between Chinese and English by using translation strategies.From the perspective of translation as adaptation and selection,this paper analyzes the strategies adopted in Hawkes'translation of idioms from the perspective of three-dimensional transformation,to provide reference for idiom translation in literary works.
