摘　　要：本文探讨了研究当代公共艺术这一不断扩展和快速发展的领域的重要性。作者认为,许多公共艺术都隐藏在人们的视线中。提高认识可以带来更好的理解、赞赏和支持。本文分析了公共艺术的研究方法,邀请研究人员在对公共空间中作品的物理形态或图像的研究基础之上,考虑作品创作过程的重要性、跨学科合作的价值以及公共艺术作为助力社区的工具的作用。此外,还为研究人员提供了建议,包括创建可访问的、有意义的案例研究的方法,提高可搜索性,并且服务于不同受众的需求,寻求在良好研究的帮助下挖掘公共艺术的诸多益处。This essay explores the importance of research pertaining to the constantly expanding and quickly evolving field of contemporary public art.Much of public art,the author argues,is hiding in plain sight.Raising awareness can lead to better understanding,appreciation and support.The essay analyzes research methodologies,inviting researchers to look beyond the study of objects or images in public spaces and consider the importance of the process,the value of interdisciplinary collaborations and the role of public art as a tool to strengthen communities.Furthermore,suggestions are offered for researchers,including methodologies for creating accessible,meaningful case studies,enhancing searchability and serving the needs of diverse audiences seeking to mine the many benefits that can be derived from public art with the help of good research.
