体上相仿与用上不悖:论《牟子理惑论》“三教调和”思想

摘  要:《牟子理惑论》作为中国最早的论述佛教教义以及儒、释、道会通的著作之一,是研究佛教初传中国时期“三教调和”思想的重要资料。《牟子理惑论》论述“三教调和”思想的内在结构为:首先,佛、道二家体上相仿,且“佛道”统摄老子之道,是为“大道”;其次,儒、佛二家用上不悖,且佛教之德统摄儒家之德,是为“大德”。这一理路不仅深刻影响了后来探讨“三教”关系的著作,而且提供了一种理解“三教调和”思想的新方式。Mou Zi Li Huo Lun, as one of the earliest works on Buddhist doctrine and theintegration of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Daoism in China, is a significant resource for studying the thought of “Three Teachings in Harmony” during the early period of Buddhism in China. The internalstructure of Mou Zi Li Huo Lun on the thought of “Three Teachings in Harmony” is as follows: Firstly,Buddhism and Daoism are similar in origin, and Buddha's Dao, as the “Great Dao”, contains Laozi'sDao. Secondly, Confucianism and Buddhism are not contrary to each other in function, and Buddhistvirtues, as the “Great Virtues”, contain Confucian virtues. This line of reasoning not only profoundlyinfluenced later writings exploring the relationship between the three teachings, but also provided a newway of understanding the thought of “Three Teachings in Harmony”.
