With the rapid development of contemporary information technology, the massive networked tertiary memory is accelerating the process of human“dis-knowledge”.Bernard Stiegler utilizes the concept of the Anthropocene from geology to characterize the current state of human“dis-knowledge”.Drawing inspiration from the logic of technology and ancient Greek myths,Stiegler constructs the internal structure of a technologically-oriented ontology and clarifies the relationship between humans and technology from the philosophical perspective of a generalized organology. From the standpoint of technological ontology,Stiegler argues that the Anthropocene began with the Industrial Revolution, and the emergence of fully-fledged machines led to the loss of human knowledge about“how to do things”.The rapid development of digital technology in modern times has further eroded essential knowledge on“how to live”and“how to think”,turning humans into complete“dis-knowledge”people and accelerating the evolution of the Anthropocene. To counteract the process of“dis-knowledge”and moving off the Anthropocene, humans must envision the feasibility of“re-knowledge”.
