摘  要:礼在湛若水《春秋》学中具有重要地位。湛若水认为《春秋》虽由鲁国史料辑录而成,但其中之“事”深蕴圣人之心,而圣人之心又与“天理”相通。礼兼具“天理”与“事”两项要素:“礼”是天理的现实呈现,又可于“事”中得以发现。湛若水将《春秋》定义为“刑书”,认为《春秋》以礼评判事件、褒贬是非。由此,他构建了一条相对完整、具有操作性的领略《春秋》大旨的路径:深入《春秋》之“事”,将礼视为考量事件是非对错的标准,把“礼”当作媒介,从“礼”升“义”,由“义”到“理”,以“理”体“心”。In Zhan Ruoshui's study of The Spring and Autumn Annals,ritual(礼)holds a pivotal position.He argues that although The Spring and Autumn Annals was compiled from historical records of the state of Lu,its"events"(事)deeply embody the mind of the sage(圣人之心),which in turn resonates with"heavenly principle"(天理).Ritual integrates the dual elements of"heavenly principle"and"events":it serves as the tangible manifestation of heavenly principle while also being discoverable within concrete historical affairs.Zhan Ruoshui defines The Spring and Autumn Annals as a"Book of Punishments"(刑书),asserting that it employs ritual to judge events and appraise right and wrong through praise and critique.From this perspective,he constructs a relatively comprehensive and actionable framework for grasping the essence of The Spring and Autumn Annals:Confucian scholars should delve into the events recorded in the text,adopt ritual as the standard for evaluating moral correctness,and use ritual as a mediating lens.Through this approach,one ascends from"ritual"(礼)to"righteousness"(义),proceeds from righteousness to"principle"(理),and ultimately perceives the sage's mind(心)through principle.
