摘  要:在新文科背景下,对地方应用型高校商务英语专业发展的优势,以及存在的专业定位模糊不清、课程设置不尽合理、师资队伍结构失衡等困难进行了分析。新时期要实现专业建设的高质量发展,必须以新文科理念为引领,利用好新文科建设中跨学科融合这个新渠道、主阵地,结合地方应用型高校的办学定位与地方经济发展实际,立足跨学科特色,通过整合校内外资源,打造“地方应用型”商务英语专业人才培养新模式;构建注重应用实践的商务英语专业课程体系与教学内容,重视商务英语专业教师队伍与实践基地的高质量建设,培养“精语言、懂商务、通数智”、具备服务地方经济意识的商务英语专业人才,开拓商务英语专业在新文科建设背景下的发展新局面。This paper examines the advantages and challenges of developing the Business English program at local applied universities within the framework of“new liberal arts”.Key issues include unclear orientation,unreasonable curricula,and faculty expertise imbalances.In order to ensure high-quality program development in this new era,it is crucial to adhere to the principles of new liberal arts and effectively utilize interdisciplinary integration as a primary approach in the program’s construction.A new model for training“local applied”Business English professionals must align the educational goals of local applied universities with the actual needs of local economic development and the interdisciplinary nature.By integrating resources in and outside the campus,the Business English program should feature curricula and teaching content centered on practical application,supported by strong faculty teams and practical bases.The ultimate goal is to cultivate Business English professionals with language skills,business acumen,digital-intelligence competency,and the awareness to support the local economy.This approach aims to create a new development path for the Business English program in the context of new liberal arts construction.
