Efficacy of Nutrition Education Implemented among Primary School Students in Jinan

摘  要:目的 评价对小学生及家长进行营养教育的效果。方法 随机选取济南市 3所普通小学的四年级学生 355名 ,随机分为干预Ⅰ组、干预Ⅱ组和对照组 ,对干预组学生进行一个学期的营养教育课 (各 6学时 ) ,将家长作为二级靶人群 ,应用定量和定性研究方法进行效果评价。结果 各干预组学生的营养知识得分分别提高 45 .2 0 %和 47.99% ,食物选择能力增强 ,膳食趋于平衡 ,牛奶、鸡蛋、蔬菜、水果、豆制品及薯类的消费增加 ;家长知识得分提高 2 0 .50 %和 2 4 .84% ,牛奶、蔬菜及水果的消费增加 ;定性研究的结果表明学生开始逐渐纠正不吃早餐、偏食、挑食、常吃零食等行为。Objective To evaluate the effects of nutrition education on primary school students and their parents.Methods Three hundred and fifty-five students at grade four were drawn from three elementary schools in Jinan and were assigned randomly to intervention l, intervention 2 and control groups. Nutrition education was implemented in two intervention groups for about one semester (6 class hours each group), and their parents were treated as secondary targets. Qualitative and quantitative methods were employed to evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition education.Results After intervention, scores in nutrition knowledge were increased by 45.20% and 47.99% for students in intervention l group, intervention 2 group respectively. The ability of students to select food was also improved; their diets were tended to balance.Consumption of milk, eggs, vegetables, fruits, soybean products and potatoes increased. Scores in nutrition knowledge for their parents increased by 20.50% and 24.84% respectively, consumption of milk, vegetables and fruits increased. The qualitative study indicated that students began to change their behaviors of skipping breakfast, monophagia and eating snacks. Conclusions The effects of school-based nutrition education are obvious.
