摘　　要：《种树郭橐驼传》是柳宗元针砭时弊的著名散文,《阿Q正传》是鲁迅为中国人号脉的著名小说。两文的主人公都具有形体上的缺陷,也都受到他人的嘲弄。郭橐驼坦然受之,而阿Q却如芒刺在背,每每愤而反击。由此表现出时代风貌的不同,更反映出统治者对待不同声音的态度,而这不同的态度又是国力是否强盛的标志,是统治者是否自信、是否开明的表现。The Story of Guo Tuotuo Growing Trees', written by Liu Zongyuan is a well known prose assailing the ills of the times while ' The Life of Ah Q' is a famous short story by Lu Xun 'feeling' the 'pulse' of the Chinese. The heroes in the two works both have physical defects and both are mocked by other people. F aced with all this, Guo Tuotuo is unperturbed, but Ah Q feels uneasy and, many a time, strikes back. The two images demonstrate the different styles and feature s of their respective times, and also reflect the attitudes of the rulers toward s the different voice. The difference in the attitudes is a sign of whether the national strength is solid, and also a reflection of whether the ruler is self-c onfident and enlightened.
