摘　　要：文章从阅读推理的界定入手 ,简略分析了英语阅读推理的心理机制及阅读推理的类型 。This article starts by defining inference in reading comprehension. It proceeds with a brief description of the psychology of making inference in reading. Upon the description, it dwells upon ways of making inference, the correlation between inference and schemata activation. It concludes with some speculations on how to make effective inference in reading.
