摘　　要：与围绕语言点和语法知识进行讲解的传统教学法相比,语篇教学法更注重让学生从全局上去理解和把握文章,更注重意义的构建。因此,本文将以True Height一文为例来探讨语篇教学法在高职英语精读课中的应用,旨在启发更多英语教师在教学实践中采用此法,以进一步提高教学效果。Compared with the traditional teaching methods which explain language points and grammar knowledge, the text teaching method pays more attention to let the students understand and grasp the article from the global situation, and pay more attention to the construction of meaning. Therefore, this paper applies to True Height as a example to discuss the discourse teaching method in English Intensive Reading Class in higher vocational colleges, to inspire more English teachers to adopt this method in the teaching practice, to further improve the teaching effect.
