摘　　要：本文通过对贯穿我国翻译史的直译意译之争的回顾,论述了直译意译之争其实并无太大的理论价值;从而大胆地提出了"质译"与"艺译"这一新型的翻译概念,以求用全新的理论视角就内容和形式两大方面去重新规范我们的翻译实践。[作者简介]刘浩(1966-),男,安徽全椒人,副教授,文学硕士,研究方向:英美文学与翻译。Based on the review of the debate of literal translation & free translation in the Chinese history of translation, a conclusion is reached that the debate of literal translation & free translation is theoretically invaluable. And a new concept of translation 'Quality Translation' and 'Artistic Translation' is therefore put forward in order that our translation practice can be properly standardized both in content and in form from the new angle of view.
