摘　　要：创新能力是形成高校教育竞争力的核心要素 ,随着我国工业化进程的加快 ,社会对地方工科院校的创新能力提出了新的要求。地方工科院校要提升创新能力 ,必须从自身的办学特点出发 ,重视科研 ,发展科技产业 ,逐步构建地方工科院校的技术创新体系 ;加强技术创新队伍建设 ,培养一批创新能力强的教师和擅长管理的科技企业家队伍 ;推动学校的管理制度创新 ,培养创新型的领导和管理者队伍 ;开辟利用教育市场 ,拓宽社会服务面 ,增加教育发展途径 ;进行文化创新 。Innovation is a core factor in forming educational competitiveness of colleges. With the fast pace of our national industrialization, there are new requirements for local colleges of engineering in terms of innovation. The following are the ways to promote innovative ability. First, local colleges of engineering should attach importance to scientific research and develop technological industries in accordance with their own situations, thus they can construct new technological innovation systems. Second, they should form an innovative team with creative teachers and enterprisers who are good at management. Thirdly, they should promote innovative school management systems and cultivate new type team of leaders and directors. Fourthly, they should open up and utilize the educational market, and broaden their social services in order to find new approaches to educational development. Lastly, they should carry out cultural innovation to construct cultural environment in accordance with the innovative age.
