摘 要:转喻是日常生活中普遍的语言现象.认知语言学认为,转喻是基于人类经验的概念性的认知方式,转喻思维对话语的理解和生成起着极为重要的作用.本文探讨了理想化认知模型(ICM)与转喻的关系,分析了Thornburg和Panther的言语行为转喻,并结合关联理论探讨了转喻的认知语用理据及其在交际中的作用.Metonymy is a very popular linguistic phenomenon. According to cognitive linguistics, metonymy is a conceptually cognitive device based on human experience. Metonymic thinking plays a central role in the interpretation and generation of discourse. This paper has expounded the relationship between idealized cognitive model and metonymy and has also analyzed speech act metonymy posited by Thornburg and Panther. To conclude, it tries to use relevance theory to construe the cognitive and pragmatic motivation of metonymy as well as its pragmatic functions in communication.
