摘 要:以语域分析法为基础的ESP教学大纲未能充分体现ESP的语言特点,难以满足学习者的专业交际需求。ESP的共核理念认为,尽管不同学科的专业内容不同,但人们在撰写文件时所使用的思维方式和语言技能是一样的。研究发现,专业信息的语言特征不是主要体现在语法和专业学科上,而是体现在体裁和修辞上。所以交际法主张,ESP大纲要根据交际需要、交际功能和语言技能来指导教材编写和教学实践,使学生掌握专业信息的文体特点、不同体裁文件的修辞技巧和文件设计技巧,以此来提高学生处理专业信息的语言和技术水平。An ESP syllabus based on register analysis does not fully embody the linguistic features of ESP,and thus is insufficient to meet the learner’s needs.The common-core notion of ESP holds that although various disciplines are different in the subject matter,the thinking mode and language skills different experts use in writing are the same.Researches have also shown that linguistic features of technical information do not mainly exist in grammar or subject matter,but rather in genre and rhetoric.Therefore,the communicative approach advocates that an ESP syllabus should be grounded on communicative needs,communicative functions and language skills regarding teaching material development and classroom instruction.This approach would enable the learner to have a good grasp of the style features of technical information,rhetorical skills of different genres and document-design techniques,which would be conducive to enhancing students’ability to work efficiently with technical information.
