摘　　要：蔡元培先生担任北京大学校长期间提出并采取革新措施大力推行“思想自由,兼容并包”的办学方针,允许各种学派自由发展,不仅把北大改造成为一座名副其实的全国最高学府,同时也为中国革命做出了重大贡献。此办学方针对现代教育仍然具有一定的启迪作用。The implementation of the school-running policy of Promoting Ideological Freedom and Absorbing Anything and Everything initiated by Beijing University's late president Cai Yuanpei has not only made it possible for Beijing University to become the most prestigeous university in China, but also made great contributions to the Chinese revolution. This policy is still of great significance to the development of modern education.
