摘　　要：创建学习型社会是全面建设小康社会的重要目标。创建学习型社会必须发展继续教育,构筑终身教育体系。成人教育是继续教育、终身教育体系中的有机组成部分。成人教育在创建学习型社会的作用主要表现为:完善全民学习、终身学习的教育体系;加快全民学习、终身学习的学习型社会形成的进程;提升全民学习、终身学习的层次。要通过丰富成人教育内容、拓宽成人教育办学渠道、积极发展现代远程教育等措施,为创建全民学习、终身学习的学习型社会提供支撑和保障。Establishing a learning society is an important goal of building the well-to-do society . In order to establish a learning society, we must develop the continuing education and construct the lifelong education system. The adult education is a part of the system of the continuing education and the lifelong education. The functions of the adult education in establishing a learning society are perfecting the education system of the whole people's study and the lifelong study, accelerating the process of establishing a learning society of the whole people's study and lifelong study and promoting the level of the whole people's study and lifelong study. In order to establish a learning society of the whole people's study and lifelong study, we should enrich the content of the adult education, widen the channel of running adult education schools and develop the modern long-distance education.
