摘　　要：关于远程教育的起源与发展模式,学术界有多种提法。本文系统分析比较了关于起源的“元媒说”和“函授说”两种观点,以及关于发展模式的“三代说”、“四代说”和“五代说”三种观点,提出远程教育的起源与发展模式的研究应该采用“元媒说”和“五代说”的观点。There are different viewpoints about the origin and development patterns of distance education. This paper studies the viewpoints of the origin which is 揗eta-media parlance?and 揷orrespondence parlance? and the viewpoints of the development patterns which is three generations parlance? four generations parlance?and five generations parlance? It is concluded that the viewpoints of meta-media parlance?and five generations parlance?are much more logical than others.
