摘  要:语言符号的象似性研究打破了"语言任意性"原则一统天下的局面,它对了解语言和认知的关系有重要意义。文章运用认知语言学理论,并结合柏林和凯家提出的"语义特征普遍性"理论,探讨英汉基本颜色词的象似规律,从而论证了人类认知的共性是英汉基本颜色词在次序、语义场、范畴等方面有着惊人的象似性的原因。The study of iconicity of the linguistic signs has broken the monopoly of arbitrariness of the linguistic signs,which becomes a hotspot in today's cognitive linguistics and means much in understanding the relationship between language and cognition.The author,from the viewpoint of cognitive linguistics and in combination with the theory of universality in semantics proposed by Berlin and Kay,is to probe into the iconic laws of the basic color terms in English and Chinese so as to prove that the universality of human cognition results in the striking iconicity of order, semantic fields and categories in English and Chinese basic color terms.
